We can perform a thigh lift at our affiliated hospitals in Connecticut. The procedure removes extra skin, and sometimes extra fat, on the inside or the outside of your thighs. You might consider this procedure if:
- You have loose, sagging skin on your thighs and want to improve your appearance
- You’ve lost a lot of weight and want to reshape your thighs and lower body
- You’ve got extra skin on the inside of your thighs, where they rub together
Medial and Lateral Thigh Lifts
There are two types of thigh lifts: medial (inner) and lateral (outer):
For an inner thigh lift, we make the incision, or cut, in the groin area. This is the area where your belly meets your legs, in the pubic region. The scar is less noticeable here.
For an outer thigh lift, we also make incisions in the groin, but they may wrap around the hip and include the buttock area. Shaping the outside of the thighs is more complicated because we usually need to remove more skin and tissue. Scars are hidden when you’re wearing clothes.
Why Choose Us?
Experience you can trust. Dr. Reilly is board certified in general and plastic surgery, and has performed many thigh lifts through the years. He has been in private practice since 2002. He is affiliated with several area hospitals including Griffin Hospital, a major Yale affiliate, where he is chief of plastic surgery.
High quality care. One of Connecticut's leading plastic surgeons, Dr. Reilly uses advanced techniques and procedures to provide quality care tailored to your needs. We are dedicated to safety. We do not use an office surgery suite. Dr. Reilly performs surgery in local hospitals that meet federal and state compliance, with specialized equipment and board-certified anesthesiologists, to ensure complete patient satisfaction.
Timely appointments. We encourage you to bring a friend or a family member with you, and to ask questions. After your surgery, we offer prompt appointments for follow-up care, and you can always reach us if you have any concerns.
Educational support. We thoroughly explain each procedure – how to prepare and what to expect – for your comfort and peace of mind. Informative handouts, our website, and one-on-one teaching with our nurses and staff will help prepare and reassure you.
Compassionate understanding. Our kind and attentive staff offer support and guidance. We know that surgery is a big step, and it may take months before you decide to move forward. We respect and honor your privacy, and understand that you may not want to share your decision with family or friends. Maybe you are wrestling with what you should or shouldn't do to feel better, stronger, and more confident. We are here to help – weighing choices and possibilities with you. We are sensitive to your concerns. We are committed to helping you look your best, feel your best, and be your best.
Delighted patients. Dr. Reilly and our staff consistently receive high marks from patients who are pleased with their experience and results. With their permission, we are happy to share before and after photos with you.
Financing and Payment Plans
Because a thigh lift is considered an elective procedure, health insurance does not cover the surgery. Also, the cost of the procedure can vary greatly from patient to patient, based on body type and desired results. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. We have also worked with CareCredit for many years to provide the best financing services available.
